Parking facilities & starting points

In Burgenland, it’s never far from the parking lot to the main event. Car parking facilities can be found near all of the different starting points to the Burgenland-Trails. So bikers can reach the mountain bike area around the Geschriebenstein as quickly as possible.

South

Badesee Rechnitz (Bathing Lake): There are plenty of parking facilities at Rechnitz Bathing Lake, allowing you to tackle the Burgenland-Trails from the southern side. Via the Geschriebenstein Süd Trail (up and downhill trail) you first reach Ranch parking lot and later the Geschriebenstein.

Center

Ranch Parking Lot: Parking spaces in a central location can be found at Ranch parking lot. From there, you can either ride the Rechnitz Trail (downhill) towards Rechnitz bathing lake, or the uphill version of the Head Trail towards the Geschriebenstein.

North

  • Margarethenwarte: In the northern part of the Burgenland-Trails, you can park at Margarethenwarte lookout tower. From there, you can reach the Lockenhaus/Burgsee parking lot via the Paulusbrunnen Trail (up and downhill trail).
  • Lockenhaus/Burgsee: There are plenty of parking spaces at Burgsee in Lockenhaus. From there, you can ride the Geschriebenstein Nord Trail (up and downhill trail) in the north down to the Geschriebenstein.
